Anyone who knows me will tell you I love water, whether its pool, beach, lake or river…they also know that I LOVE THE OBX and hold Avon, NC close to my heart (shout-out to my hubby and his family <3 ).  Soooo, when Allison and Greg came in to meet with us, they had me at “We wanted beach destination in driving distance, so we picked Koru Village in Avon, NC”

Over the last few years there has been at TON of work done to the resort and spa where Allison, Greg and their guests stayed for the weekend.  It was also where Allison and her girls had their hair and makeup done and where the guys, well, where they did the guy stuff.

The ceremony site was a hop, skip and a jump away from the resort…the day was spectacular, not too hot or cold and the gorgeous waves in the background.  It was a memorial day weekend out of a movie and the perfect setting for our Bride and Groom.

After the intimate ceremony, the guests were able to walk over the dune and enjoy an amazing cocktail hour.  We kept the bridal party for some fun, and as you can see below, fun was an understatement.  These guys were a blast!

We had the timing down perfectly, we didn’t rush and had some time to walk up to the pier and get some gorgeous and iconic shots for the couple to remember their wedding day.

Allison and Greg really spent time creating custom elements that really topped off the event.  From a personalized photobooth backdrop, to an Adirondack chair sign and flip flop mints, there really wasn’t anything these two didn’t think of.

Koru Village Resort & Spa were great hosts, the evening was a blast and there wasn’t much more this amazing couple could have asked for.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for including us in your special day and the pleasure of photographing your special day.  Your families are incredible and we wish you both nothing but the best in your future together.
