Any Florida native can agree that Winter and Spring in Naples are naturally the best times of year. The day of Christine and Brian’s wedding was the epitome of perfect weather. Passing by Bonita Beach, I rolled the windows down and turned the music up, getting ready for a wonderful wedding.

When we arrived at Lovers Key Resort, we headed up to the suite where the girls were getting ready.  Christine had carefully planned the day with plenty of prep time before the main event.  The stress level was pretty low, there was more love and excitement than anything else which our team documented through still and motion picture. Melissa from Melita Artistry, LLC was in charge of the make-up. She was easy-going, positive and professional. After the beauty enhancement was complete, we took some great photos by the window and balcony of the suite.

Because guys don’t normally get make-up done, they have time for other prepping rituals like drinking beer, watching football, pressing pants or playing in the pool with the little guy Aden, Brian’s 1 year old son. In addition to being an ER Physician, Brian is an experienced scuba diver and it looks like Aden is no stranger to the water either!

Christine was escorted and accompanied by her father on their own personal trolley, it was a short trip to the beach of Lovers Key State Park. Before the ceremony, the entire bridal party got together for a prayer, sending even more love into the air.  The ceremony on the beach was beautiful. When Christine said vows to both Brian and Aden, let’s just say…there were tears. After the lovebirds were officially wed, they strutted back down to the cheers of all their friends and family!

That same great energy continued into the portrait session. They didn’t mind posing for a few portraits and weren’t afraid have to fun in front of the camera! A professional photographer should not only know how to pose, but have a good sense of awareness for those organic moments. In the middle of the bridal party session, I heard “aww” so I pressed pause and ran up the beach to photograph Aden and his cousin playing in the sand together.  A few minutes later, after the bridal party photos were completed, we made our way to the golf cart to head down to the drift wood area of the beach. To our pleasant surprise, we had two guest chauffeurs ready to drive us to our destination! (For the record: the wedding coordinator at Lovers Key, April, was the official off-road driver and she’s a pro)

When we arrived near the drift wood, April had arranged for hot hors d’oeuvres ready on a silver platter served by two friendly waiters from Custom Catering as soon as we got there. Christine looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown so the sunset portraits were a breeze.

The reception with SWFL Entertainment was a lot of fun filled with heart felt, co-created speeches, whimsical dancing and dedication songs. In addition to father-daughter and mother- son dances, Brian passionately sung John Legend’s “All of Me” to his bride. And Christine was finally initiated into the Queen family by one groomsman singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” with the support of another groomsman (literally) and the groom’s brother/ best man, Jordan on guitar solos while the Queen family laughed and sung along! It was appropriate and awesome.

No two weddings are identical. Words can’t completely describe the feelings shared on Christine and Brian Queen’s wedding day… that’s where the pictures come in! With that said, on behalf of the entire Duca Studio team, “Thank You!” It was a pleasure meeting you and it was truly a gift to be present on your day.  -Christopher
