Most couples come to us a little more than a year before their big day, but there are some that come to our doorstep with mere months to go. Megan and Kurt came into our studio feeling a little overwhelmed at the prospect of choosing photographers and making important decisions in such a short amount of time. After meeting them and witnessing their dynamic we knew we had to be a part of their wedding day and they left feeling the same way.
Megan works in politics and spends a huge amount of time campaigning while Kurt is an outdoors kinda guy who loves working on his farm and home. We were able to combine all the details from Megan and the outdoor environment for Kurt at William Penn Inn and the Joseph Ambler Inn. With a newly renovated bridal suite, the William Penn Inn is a great location to capture the pre-wedding moments. With so much planning involved before the wedding, experiencing the whole event was important to both Kurt and Megan. We decided to do a private first reveal between the bride and groom in the ceremony site at William Penn Inn, and it was breathtaking!
We had discussed weeks before during one of our final consults with Megan and Kurt, that going offsite for bridal photos was definitely something they wanted to do. We suggested Joseph Amber Inn and after a visit, the two gave us a thumbs up. On the day of the wedding we piled everyone on to a trolley and drove only minutes to the inn for some gorgeous photographs.
With the sun falling at the perfect time, the ceremony went off without a hitch. It was something out of movie, so heartfelt and genuine.
We always say up-lighting is a huge plus for any event. Megan and Kurt knew that adding up-lights to their package would really put the icing on the cake for their reception. Their room was glowing and was the perfect addition to their venue. Because their wire-less we were able to take them outside for some spectacular images…
We love capturing genuine emotion in family and friends at weddings. You can almost feel what they’re feeling when you view photographs. We pride ourselves in capturing moments that every bride and groom, family member and friend will be able to flash back to the second they look at them. We are so lucky to have met Megan and Kurt, and wish them nothing but the best in their future together.
