Love stories always make me smile from the inside out.  This week’s #weddingwednesday couple is Ashley & James.  Their story began at Villanova University, and what better way to mark their next chapter than by going back to the very place they laid eyes on each other…

For obvious reasons, St. Thomas of Villanova Church holds a very special place in the hearts of Ashley & James.  It’s a gorgeous church from top to bottom, and what makes it even better was their priest was a mentor to the love birds during their education at Villanova.

Both couples studied nursing while in school and on their wedding day were surrounded by other alum and very close friends.  After the ceremony, strolling the grounds of Villanova’s campus was the perfect way to photograph their bridal portraits.

We most certainly couldn’t miss the famed “Oreo” statue and the Whispering Arches…these iconic Villanova landmarks were a hit with us, we love the images we captured!

After the beautiful portrait session we drove to Clark’s Landing Yacht Club in New Jersey for the reception.  We’ve visited this venue on multiple occasions and always have an amazing experience from the moment we arrive.

Some of the most memorable moments from the evening had to be the surprise serenade from James to Ashley, as he played the piano and amazed the crowd, everyone was gushing from the inside out 🙂  Now that’s a prince charming moment right there!

We certainly couldn’t miss the opportunity to get out on the docks for some amazing sunset photographs…there’s something about a beautiful sky, quiet water and a couple in love that really makes for the perfect fairy tale ending.  Congratulations Ashley and James!
